Recent studies show that 40% of children in Guatemala are currently suffering from malnutrition. Many children go to school without having lunch, and often without breakfast. At Nuevo Reto, we address this need by providing lunch to the kids every day.
Many of the children have shared that the meals we offer are the best they get throughout the day. With this in mind, one of our main objectives is to ensure they receive nutritious meals, making our feeding program one of the most essential aspects of our work.

In addition to our feeding program, we also donate food packages to families whenever possible. These bags, which include items like beans, rice, milk, maseca, pasta, salt, sugar, oil, and more, help families provide meals at home. The cost per food bag is $45.
